TRANSACTION STRUCTURING

• Structure term loans, by working within the Group Credit Policy Framework, and ensuring cross sell to Cash Management, and Trade in accordance with Client segmentation (Global, Regional and High Local Corporates), profitability and other performance metrics set by the Line Manager.
• Build financial models and develop appropriate credit metrics in accordance with the nature and level of complexity of deals under review.
• Independently apply strong credit knowledge to prepare internal credit approval documents (Credit approval request, Green light Memo) in accordance with the Group Risk policies.
• Work closely with Credit Risk to ensure that structuring is aligned with the Credit Process, working with the Business putting transactions through the greenlight and credit approval process.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

• Support Senior staff and management in the growth of the Loans & Liquidity revenues and profit as per agreed budget targets.
• Run monthly processes, account planning and pipeline reporting.
• Help with special projects as requested.

💼 Profil recherché :

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Mathematics & Statistics, or related field of study.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Structuring, Credit Analysis or Sales, preferably in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or Private Equity.
• Ability to build complex financial models.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Strong financial modelling and computing skills using VBA or other tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
• Strong demonstration of work ethic, integrity, teamwork, accountability, and client centricity.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

The Corporate Finance Loans & Liquidity (CFLL) team is a group center of expertise in charge of the review and structuring of term loans under consideration by Ecobank affiliates. The CFLL team works with Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) teams as well as Commercial Banking (CMB) Heads to ensure revenue maximization and asset quality across the Loans & Liquidity portfolio (i.e. term loans amortizing over 1 year).

Ecobank is looking for an Analyst to support the CFLL team in the origination of sound transactions, the structuring and analysis of deal opportunities, and the creation of streamlined processes, all in line with the Corporate Banking (CB) Strategy and Target Markets.

The incumbent will be working on conventional loans, project finance, structured finance, and acquisition finance transactions across a wide range of industries (manufacturing, energy, telecom, extractive, infrastructure, ports & logistics, etc.). The incumbent will be expected to:

• Support senior staff and management in deal structuring, financial modeling, and credit memo write-up.
• Collaborate with CIB and CMB teams during deal execution, from origination to closing.
• Build and maintain portfolio reporting tools to track product performance.
• Attend client calls and site visits when required.
• Contribute to special projects on an ad-hoc basis.
